Online upgrade is a nightmare: please fix your website

I have been online with Comcast for over 1 hour trying to get my cable tv upgraded. The website cannot distringuish between existing customers and new customers, and forces you to order new equipment, set install dates, etc. You have to do an online chat with a rep at the end to remove this stuff after the fact.

 

As an IT professional, I can't understand why the Comcast website lacks this functionaility and has these issues--this is basic web design.
