For the past month and a half, I have had trouble getting the Syfy network to stream on my laptop. I have filed many reports with Comcast but the problem is not corrected. I get a message from Syfy saying "this program can not be viewed at this time please try one of our other syfy now viewings". I end up speaking with a comcast rep on the west coast, mostly Washington, and they are getting the same message. I wonder how many other States are also unable to stream the Syfy channel via wifi?
It is bad enough that Syfy runs programs like Ghost Hunters and bad wrestling, but now they seem to be doing nothing to keep their customers. I have virtually tuned out of the channe altogether!
What is most aggravating is that Comcast does nothing but "pass the buck" back to the Syfy network...but, here is the catch:
Syfy is a basic cable and satellite TV station owned by NBCUniversal Cable, which is a division of NBCUniversal, which is a subsidary of COMCAST. This is an issue within Comcast divisions that has NOT been fixed as of this 12/02/14.
So, when the blame is made to land on the Syfy network, Comcast is merely covering their shortfall. Syfy is the ONLY network that will not stream via wifi. I have tried other browsers with the same negative result. I have reset the browsers to default, cleared history, cache and cookies and everything else imaginable and still nothing.
Since I am in the process of relocating I am now considering using another internet provider at my next permanent location,,,,one that provides what they advertise.
Sorry COMCAST, but someone is dropping the ball within your realm and it is going to cost you lots of money and clients..
