When you change over from the older Comcast cable box to the Xfinity triple play like I did, they need to install different cables or it wouldn't work.
That being said,
After a couple months my cable box kept saying connecting without ever connecting.
I went to the Xfinity store and personally made an appointment and was told there would be no charge for any repair.
On my next bill, they charged me 75.00 for replacing the NEW CABLE they installed 3 months ago when I switched over to Triple Play even though the rep at the Xfinity store where I made the appointment said they wouldn't charge me !!!
I called and said " I had Comcast for over 10 years without cable wear and tear issues. Now with the newly cable you just installed 3 months ago you are blaming it on wear and tear issues " ?
She sat there silent.
I have the 3 month old defective cable he replaced hanging off my gutter. He just left it hanging there and it's swinging away in the wind. I asked the tech what the problem was when he was here and he said the 3 month old cable was connected but the signal inside was weak so he is just going to replace the cable again. When he did everything worked fine.
I'm here now fighting to get the charges removed to no avail.
Is there anyone here who can help restore my trust for comcast ?
