In the past, when I have had success getting Comcast Live TV Online to work and NOT crash, as it frequently does, they have replaced all the many commercials with an animated image and some background music.
This has been a godsend, allowing me to TOLERATE the current reality of barely "half my cable subscription" being actual content!
More recently, Comcast is allowing 1 or 2 commercials to play in their entirety before the image/music replaces the remaining (MANY!!) advertisements.
I can only assume that Comcast has chosen to increase their revenue stream by allowing advertisers (often Drug pushers!) to buy their way past the blocking method.
As the number of commercials continues to increase (with the need to pay for program content), why must I pay twice with my subscription fees increasing for less content?
