I am CONSTANTLY getting an Error 500 code - on both my Mac (10.6) and PC (Windows 8.1). It makes using the X1 streaming platform absolutely a pain and unenjoyable - especially when I have to keep restarting/resuming a program.
Also, sometimes I want to watch a show that is currently being recorded from the beginning. So I go into xtv, find the show, rewind it to the beginning, watch it and then it kicks me out at the point when I access the show on my computer. Then, I have to wait until the program is done recording, go back into xtv, fast forward to the point where it stopped allowing me to watch the show and then resume. This doesn't happen if I were on my tv/DVR where I could just rewind a live show that is also in the process of recording - it just continues to play until it stops recording and then the tv reverts to the Live TV. I am accessing the same thing just on the TV/DVR rather than my computer - the process should be the same. Why isn't it?
These are two of the MAIN reasons why we opted to upgrade to X1 but if the streaming service doesn't work well, what's the point? There is nothing wrong with my internet - my Mac is directly connected to the modem via ethernet cable so the signal is very strong. My PC is wireless and I have no problems using any other streaming service. I can't tell you how many times I've refreshed the modem, cleared out my cache, cleared out my DNS, etc. and I keep having issues.
Also, I HATE the menu when I'm searching for On Demand shows. I like the dashboard on the regular xfinity.comcast.com site that shows the programs based on days rather than me have to "hunt and pick" and/or constantly use the search bar. Sometimes I want to see what shows were on a particular night but not sure of the title.
Please fix ASAP!
