To ComcastPhil:  Do you bother reading any of the other threads on this forum?  If you read them all you will see that everyone is having the same problem.  It has no relation to which operating system, what time of day, or what specific shows you are playing (with the exception of CBS/Hulu programs).  It is across ALL browsers.  If you would just read all the threads over the last couple of days you will see that it is a widespread problem and trying to fix just this one guy's problem by asking these dumb questions is a waste of time.  I realize this is how you try to fix problems, but if you just read all the threads you will understand it is not limited to which ads are played, etc.  I think what's frustrating everyone is that you have to watch 4 minutes of ads before you find out that the programs won't play.  It's a huge waste of our time.

And while I'm thinking about it, what's the deal with the twitter address @ComcastCares?  I tweeted yesterday about this problem and my tweet was ignored.  The site says it is "official support account for @XFINITY residential and business services from @Comcast. Our team is growing to provide help & technical support."  There are plenty of answers to people, most of them are apologizing for bad service.  But nothing on this widespread problem, and no answer to my tweet.  I get the feeling there have been other tweets but they are being ignored (as was mine).  To their credit, it seems they are answering some people's problems with internet service, but I don't see anything at all about the on-demand on-line issues.  I find it weird that nobody is tweeting about this but there are so many threads here on the forum.
